Boys Fashion: Gucci Gucci Gucci

I love my classic Gucci belt, you know, green and red with a silver buckle. I got it as a gift few years back and do wear it to death. However, sometimes I do wish that I could wear Gucci without it being blates obvious. I like my designer clobber like the next person, but I do not need to be branded at all times. Enter the new belt from Gucci, loves it. Navy leather on one side and nylon navy nylon with the red stripe on the other. Great little piece to add to your wardrobe. Wear the navy side with your suit or with anything more formal and the stripes for the weekend or more casual look. Two belts in one. Done and done. Get yours now from Mr Porter.

Loves it.

I have been STORMed

I want them all...

This morning I had the pleasure of attending a breakfast event that celebrated the next season’s offerings for STORM, and I must say, yet again I have been STORMed. As we all know, STORM is a British watch brand. That’s what they are known for, however they do a lot of other stuff too, sunglasses, bags, bracelets just to name a few. However, as I am addicted to watches, that’s what I am going to talk about. Again.

First up is the fabulously colorful Digiplex. I am in rubberized love. Really like the combo of the digital screen and rubber color splash bracelets. Funnily enough I have my eye on the black one. Perhaps because its matt. I have an array of rubber colourful watches, perhaps that’s the reason why the next one will be black. Yes. Gimme. They aren’t expensive either, obviously I have forgotten how much they are, but remember thinking “Wow, that’s reasonable”. I may need the blue one too.

The second patch I have my eyes on is called “Viktor” and it’s a nice take on a classic watch. We all know that STORM is often a little out there, colorful, bling, bells and whistles. Which is fine and amazing, but sometimes one just wants a classic looking watch that will go with anything and everything. I heart the middle one with the blue face and have put it on my “things I must buy” list. Greatness. Slighty more expensive than the rubbery one, but so worth it. I would urge you all to go have a look online or in store and see what beautiful bright and girly items they have for girls this season and what sturdy accessories they are serving us men. Stormed. Again.

Obsessed

Grooming news : Jason Shankey

Srcub it

As you guys are well aware, my bathroom cabinet includes brands like Darphin, Bobbi Brown, Sarah Chapman, Origins etc. I realized that everything is very girly and most of you lot wont go and buy a product if it is in a pale green pump. The idea was to find a more butch product line that all the men (gays included) would be happy to buy and display in your bathrooms, enter Jason Shankey. Jason has been making waves in the grooming world for a while now and after testing his Exfoliating Face and Scalp Scrub, I now know why! This scrub is really quite brilliant.

Ground olive stones and pumpkin extracts work in the scrub to gently remove nasty dead skin and debris. Plus the added bonus from ginger and African Pepper really boost the skin up. The best thing? You can use this scrub on your face and scalp. I know how you men get, the less products the better. With this you can get it all scrubbed in one go. Sorted!

If you want to say goodbye to clogged pores and ingrown hairs, and say hello to refined skin, that’s smooth and soft to touch, I would really recommend this scrub. Plus it looks butch in the bathroom. Winner.

Mens Fashion : Shorts!

I am perfectly aware that it is only mid March, however the entire morning I have not been able to “shake” shorts out of my head. So, instead of trying to fight it, I decided that it was indeed time to find the best shorts around for spring holidays in the sun and great basics to work around in the coming summer months (fingers crossed). This post is purely fashion related, I shall do “gay shorts” another time. Also, thinking about swimwear and gym stuff. Gays of the world, please let me know what you would like me to search for. This morning though, I am closing my eyes and I swear I it’s +35C, the sun is warming my skin up and I am drinking ice-cold rose. Here are my best finds when it comes to men’s shorts.

Acne Tailored Turn-Up Cotton Shorts. I am a sucker for short shorts, I adore my legs and the only way to show them off is in teeny shorts. However, since I wear as little as I can at the beach I do tend to cover up little more once I am done sunning myself. These little adorable shorts from Acne would be perfect to throw on over the speedo, tank top and flip-flops. Done. Ready for a beverage!  They come in at £150, but I would wear them relentlessly, so no drama.
Turn it up!

Topman Stone Tailored Shorts. I am a sucker for tailored shorts and these would really come handy once London finally starts heating up. The best thing about these shorts? Yours for 30 quid! Tailored shorts are the best place to start for a great city look. I wear mine very tailored and with a shirt. Just to get the point across that I might be wearing shorts, but I do mean business. Beige is the perfect color for summer as we know, white shorts are a bit naff unless you are in Cannes and other colours can be little too dark. Go for gold.

Gap Plaid Flat-Front Shorts. Sometimes there isn’t anything sexier than a man in plaid shorts and a polo shirt. I love rocking the “preppy muscle cindy” – look. (I did manage to add some gay in this piece in the end) I have just about enough muscles to fill a polo shirt and as I used the dance and wrestle (perhaps the best combo ever), my legs look great in “proper” shorts. Now, I found these at Gap, but on the US side of things and haven’t been able to locate them in this country. Bummer. They are yours for 45 bucks. Bargain. These will indeed look great with a polo shirt, but equally cool with a collar or a t-shirt. Just make sure the shorts fit well, no reason them to be skin-tight, or baggy as hell. They need to fit perfect.

"preppy muscle cindy"

All Saint Chalk Richardson Shorts These will become my uniform for visiting the markets of East London. Just amaze. Like I said I am not a fan of white shorts, unless I am far away from London. These however aren’t white, but fabulous. I would wear these fairly tight, clinging to my legs for dear life, with some funny looking canvas shoes and a loose t-shirt. See, my East London Uniform. Really enjoying the shade of white / grey. Super. All Saints have all sorts of shorts and I would strongly advice to have a look online. You never know what you might find. Yours for £60

ooooh

Dries Van Noten Pencil Cotton Shorts Have the wedding invites started coming in yet? If so, I dare you to try something different and wear shorts on someone else BIG day. I have worn shorts few times to summer weddings and might I say, they worked a treat. Really a great way to NOT TO BLEND IN and still look effortlessly gorgeous. Make sure, your legs have been groomed and polished. All eyes will be on them, make sure they are ready. Yours for £210.

There, five pairs of fabulous shorts for all occasion. Go on, show off your legs this summer!

Marko Loves Jo Loves

I am shaking with excitement today. It has finally been announced what Jo Malone is doing next. Whoop! We all know and love the luxury brand that is Jo Malone, created by Jo Malone (ahem). Unless you have been living in the sticks, this is all old news to you. Jo Malone (the brand, not the woman) was bought over by Estee Lauder Companies in 1999, Jo stayed on as a Chairwoman and Creative Director until 2006, when the company was sold to Estee Lauder in its entirety.

So, it has been five years and I have of course been wondering where did Jo go? What is she doing and what is she planning? Low and behold, enter Jo Loves! I am SO excited, seriously. As you all know our scent cabinet rivals the offering at Liberty’s and 30% of everything is Jo Malone. I am totally obsessed with the fragrances, body lotions and so forth. I would even go so far as saying that one of my favourite scents ever may well be “154”. It is delicious. I am smell delicious when wearing it and the compliments fly in like flies to butter, in a less sticky way of course.

So you can imagine my excitement when yesterday (I know day old news, the shame) she announced her new adventure, Jo Loves. This time the product line will be based on her own personal tastes and preferences. She is totally distancing herself from the brand that carries her name and said “This new company is me again, the person”. If you log onto the new website, you can see the new logo, which further secures the separation from Jo Malone – the brand. Rich scarlet background, yet simple, classic and stylish. The new collection of 40 products will launch in time for Christmas and I can’t wait. Seriously. I know the products will be the highest quality and I am going to fall head over heels in love with Jo Loves.

Boys, dreaming of a new watch?

You may well be aware that our watch collection is taking over the bedside table so much so that we now have to keep some watches in their boxes and within the draws. This isn’t ideal as I do like having them all “on show”. Makes is a lot easier to pick one to wear in the morning. despite this dilemma, I have just seen another watch that is going straight to the “I want” – list. Well, actually two! One is the gorgeous J12 Marine by Chanel. This has to be one of my favorite watches ever and on the dream list. I keep hoping that one morning I wake up and it has magically arrived. So far NADA! Dear Chanel Fairy, will you please consider dropping by one of these days? I am asking SO nicely. Since I know my reality (being always broke). I have cleverly found a replacement! Whoop! The Fossil Decker Black Chronograph will destroy the dream of me buying house a lot less than Chanel and quite frankly I adore it. Not J’ adore. But still. So there you have it. My dream watch with a clever replacement until I can afford to get “the one”. Ooooh SHINY!

One day...one day...

NOW!

TopMan and the Trench Dream

Gentlemen, it is time to mix it up and buy a new coat! I have been searching for a classic trench coat that doesn’t cost any limbs for a while and then finally hit gold at Topman. Now, I am a big fan of spending a little more on shoes, bags and coats as usually it means better quality, for anything else (apart from underwear), you can get away with Zara and REISS, makes no difference. However, as I saw this trench coat in store, I very nearly fainted. Tried it on, perfect fit. Looked at the price, done. Seriously one of the best belted trench coats I have seen in a long time (under a £100). Now coats like this don’t suit everyone, but if you are like me, tall and with few muscles thrown in, you will look amaze. Trust me. Go on, have look and I am sure you will find this coat to be the perfect in between seasons piece.

Pull-in’s for Valentine’s Day

Now excuse for a second, I am going to go a little romantic for the next few lines, just in case you lot are struggling with upcoming V-Day. I have never been “into” Valentine’s day if I am brutally honest, but now that I am with the husbear, I think I would get little annoyed if I didn’t get anything. I am quite happy with just a card and a hug, but I know a lot of you go totally mental. One girl at work has bought a helium canister and around 100 heart balloons in different sizes and shades of red. She is filling their North London flat. See, I would do something like that just on a Tuesday. For me a grand romantic gestures mean a lot more when they are done on any regular day and not just on V-day. However, I do understand that some men (and women I guess) do need a little help and why not spoil your partner on 14th of February and I think I have just found the way to do it with Pull-in underwear! I am sure that 98% of gifts on this “holiday” are either flowers and chocolate. Some of you are most likely planning to buy some underwear. For me, underwear is always a great choice. Rather have something we can both enjoy!

Boy + Girl
I am not a big fan of matching, but there is something about these strawberry printed sets, all from the “FRAISES” collection. Totally cute and for the one day of the year, why not go matching?

Dreaming of Hi-Tops?

I am a converse kind of guy. Loves them. Have numerous pairs in different colors (yet tend to wear one pair to death and then move on). The thing about Converse is that they are just brilliant. I wear mine with my fitted suits for more casual look. I wear them with my skinny jeans to look like I am indeed from East London, although there real East Folk are now of course wearing something else and I have totally fallen off the wagon with my converse. Seriously, they are great with everything I own. However, with the wet London winter still going strong, I constantly find my feet getting wet as they do not have enough sole, so to speak.

I am in the market for something sturdier and then came across these Lanvin (the real Lanvin, not H&M) Hi-Tops. Amaze. I adore the color grey, it looks great on me (even if I say so myself) and grey is great to mute down blues and greens. I am in Hi-Top Heaven. Could I have a pair please? I am of course merely pointing out the fabulousness of this pair as I am dreaming on owning some Lanvin. It is good to dream and have goals. These are my newest shoe – dream. *drools*  As I believe in fairness (unless it something to do with what I already have, I am an only child and I don’t like to share), I thought to myself, can I find cool Hi-Tops for girls. The answer of course is that I can. These Stella McCartney Hi-Tops are just amazing. Studded to high heaven and again that perfect shade of grey. Kind of hoping they do these in size 9 for men too.

There you have it, my newest shoe crushes! Hi-Tops from Lanvin and Stella, both available from Browns.

Hooked on these boots, quite literally!

Hooked on these boots, quite literally! As I don’t have my own pair of black boots, I am going to have to get these ASAP. They are called “Hook” and I loves them. The thing about boots is that I want something little different. Something that I can wear few ways, either tucking my skinny jeans in or wearing them hidden under my jeans.
It’s all about versatility. Done. These will be perfect when I do “Barbie toe”. I need the boots on my feet, now!
Available nationwide and from here.
